Corruption Command Center Project, Head Of Kominfo Ambon Sentenced To 22 Months In Prison
JAKARTA - The panel of judges at the Ambon District Court (PN) sentenced the former Head of the Ministry of Communication and Information Technology (Kominfo) of Ambon City, Joy Adrian, to 22 months in prison in the case of corruption in the procurement and installation of Command Center equipment and equipment for the 2021 fiscal year.
The verdict of the panel of judges was read out during the trial at the Ambon District Court, Wednesday, August 7.
"Declaring that the defendant is legally and convincingly proven guilty of violating Article 3 in conjunction with Article 18 of the Republic of Indonesia Law Number 20 of 2001 concerning Amendments to Law Number 31 of 1999 concerning the Eradication of Corruption in conjunction with Article 55 paragraph (1) 1 of the Criminal Code," said the panel of judges, confiscated by Antara.
During the trial, the panel of judges also sentenced three other defendants on behalf of Hendra Pesiwarissa and Charly Tomasoa as Pokja and Yermia Padang as executors of CV. Randi Perkasa each served 20 months in prison.
The defendant Yeremia Padang is the Director of CV. Randi Perkasa who handles the project work for the procurement and installation of Command Center equipment for the 2021 fiscal year.
The defendants were also sentenced to pay a fine of Rp. 50 million each, subsidiary to one month in prison.
The defendant Joy was also sentenced to pay compensation of Rp471.1 million, subsidiary to one year in prison and defendant Yeremia Rp237.3 million, subsidiary to one year in prison.

Meanwhile, the defendants Hendra Pesiwarissa and Charly Tomasoa were not sentenced to pay compensation for having made a return.
There are also things that are burdensome for the defendants being sentenced to prison for not supporting the government's program in eradicating corruption, collusion, and nepotism.
While the mitigating thing is that the defendants are polite in the trial, have never been convicted, and have family responsibilities.
The verdict of the Corruption Court judges was also lighter than the demands of the Ambon Prosecutor's Office in the previous trial for two years and six months in prison.
