Snatching His Wife-child While Acting In Tamansari, Grandma Becomes A Victim And Falls On The Street

JAKARTA - ZN and Udin are desperate to snatch a 63-year-old grandmother in the Tamansari area, West Jakarta. When he was in action, Udin took his wife and child with him.

"The mode is to deceive so that you are not suspected of being a mugging," said Head of Criminal Investigation Unit of the Tamansari Metro Police, AKP Lalu Ali, confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, March 24.

Udin took Grandma's bag containing her wallet and cellphone. The money in the wallet has been used up. While the victim's cellphone was sold by his wife.

"Selling / pawning the snatched goods," said AKP Lalu Ali about the role of Udin's wife.

The mugging at Tamansari went viral after CCTV footage was distributed. The perpetrator rode on a motorbike with his wife and child and took his grandmother's bag and fell on the street trying to keep his belongings. The perpetrator has now been arrested.

As a result of the incident, the victim had to be injured in several parts of the body and lost his cell phone and money.

"My injuries were on the eyes, knee and elbow. The loss was approximately Rp. 3 million," said the mugging victim as quoted by Antara.
