Perdana Campaign, Walz Serang Trump Team: He Cares For Our Law, Sows Chaos And Divisions

JAKARTA - Vice Presidential Candidate Tim Walz immediately attacked Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump when he started a campaign with presidential candidate Kamala Harris, after the two were officially promoted by the Democratic Party to fight in the United States presidential election in November 2024.

The incumbent of the Minnesota Governor campaigned with Harris in front of more than 10,000 people at Temple University, Philadelphia, on Tuesday.

Despite his friendly and simple style, he firmly attacked Trump with vice presidential candidate JD Vance in his inaugural campaign speech.

"He mocks our law, he sows chaos and division, and that does not include his record as president," Walz said of Trump.

"He is frozen in the face of the COVID crisis, he is destroying our economy, and make no mistake, violent crimes are rising under Donald Trump. That doesn't even include the crimes he has committed," he continued.

Walz criticized Republicans for pursuing restrictions on women's reproductive rights, issues that have plagued Republicans since the US Supreme Court in 2022 ended women's constitutional rights to have abortions.

"Even if we're not going to make the same choice for ourselves, there's a golden rule: just take care of it yourself!" he said, which drew lively applause.

Regarding Vance, Walz said he couldn't wait to argue with the Ohio Senator, after attacking Vance's background

"And I have to tell you, I can't wait to argue with that person," said Walz, who was greeted with cheers from the audience, quoted by CNN.

After the crowd started to calm down, Walz added, "That's if he wants to get off the sofa and appear."

The Walz team also repeated its now popular attack, calling Vance and other Republicans "very strange."

"I have to tell you, show my observations I made. I just need to say it - you know that, you feel it. These people are creepy, and yes, it's really weird," Walz said.

"That's what you see," he said.

Pennsylvania, where the Harris and Walz pair held their first campaign, is considered the most crucial state in what is expected to be a strict election between Democrats and their competitors from the Republic.

Previously, the incumbent Vice President Kamala Harris announced the Minnesota Governor Walz Tim Walz as his vice presidential candidate. Prior to the announcement, Walz and Pennsylvania Governor Josh Shapiro were touted as strong candidates for Harris' preferred vice president candidate.
