JAKARTA - PT Waskita Karya (Persero) Tbk (WSKT) is focusing on working on 12 projects for the State Capital (IKN Nusantara) Nusantara.

Of the total, two of the projects have been completed.

Waskita Karya Corporate Secretary Ermy Puspa Yunita said the two projects that had been completed at IKN Nusantara were Multi Utility Tunnel (MUT) 01 or multi-Utilities tunnels underground and the 4.45 kilometer (km) Segment 4 Sepaku Ring Road.

In addition, the construction of two other IKN Nusantara projects has almost been completed, with the realization above 90 percent.

Ermy said the two projects were targeted for completion in October 2024.

"The company continues to pursue the construction of the Nusantara IKN project so that it can be completed on time," he said in an official statement written Tuesday, August 6.

Despite pursuing the completion of the project, Ermy emphasized that the company still pays attention to environmental aspects in order to maintain natural sustainability.

As is known, the development of IKN Nusantara carries the concept of Future Smart Forest City of Indonesia.

"It is estimated that more than 75 percent of the Nusantara IKN area is in the form of green space. Meanwhile, the remaining 25 percent is used as land for development," he said.

He added that until the end of July 2024 there were five IKN Nusantara projects directed by companies that had touched progress above 50 percent.
