Red Velvet's Wendy Solo Prime Teaser Revealed, Her Blonde Hair Stole Attention

JAKARTA - SM Entertainment surprised fans by releasing the first teaser for Wendy Red Velvet today, Wednesday, March 24.

A photo shows Wendy facing the front with the title Like Water which is the title of her first mini album. Wendy's blonde hair also caught the attention of fans.

Judging by Red Velvet's Twitter tweet, Wendy will release her solo album on April 5. The words WENDY and #Like_Water immediately occupied social media conversations.

Wendy is the first member of the group Red Velvet to make a solo debut. Previously, a unit called Red Velvet Irene & Seulgi was the group's first side project.

The singer whose real name is Son Seungwan has just returned to the world of entertainment in 2021 after taking a one-year break after falling off the stage during rehearsal for the 2019 SBS Gayo Daejun year-end event.

At that time, he suffered facial injuries, fractures to his hips and wrists. As a result, Wendy has to undergo an indefinite period of recovery.

Amid fans' longing, Wendy did not completely leave. He co-voices films, fills Korean drama soundtracks, and greets fans several times through social media.

His appearance with Red Velvet at the SMTOWN Live: Culture Humanity event touched fans. In early March, SM also confirmed news of Wendy's solo debut which was planned for this year.

Wendy's debut album, Like Water will be released on April 5 at 18:00 South Korean time.
