Attorney Called Juliari Not Knowing Cita Citata Fee
JAKARTA - In a follow-up hearing on the alleged bribery of Bansos funds, former Social Minister Juliari Batubara admitted that he did not know about the flow of funds to the artist Cita Citata.
This was conveyed by Juliari when the prosecutor asked about the origin of the flow of money to Cita Citata. Meanwhile, Cita Citata received 150 million in cash, which is strongly suspected to come from the Covid-19 Social Assistance Fund.
"Don't know (the origin of the money)," said Juliari.
Cita Citata, said former Ministry of Social Commitment Making (PPK) official Adi Wahyono alias AW, at that time attended and filled the Ministry of Social Affairs event in Labuan Bajo, NTT. The 150 million rupiah was said to be Cita Citata's honorarium for a gig.
Juliari Peter Barubara (JPB) 's attorney, Maqdir Ismail, emphasized that his party is sure that there is no connection with his client regarding the flow of social assistance funds flowing to Cita Citata.
"Things like this can be ascertained beyond JPB's knowledge as Social Minister. I am sure that JPB as Social Minister will not know about detailed matters like this," said Maqdir, Tuesday, March 23.
In fact, said Maqdir, his client did not know anything about the Cita Citata process being invited to attend the Ministry of Social Affairs event in Labuan Bajo.
"It is possible that the payment of honoraria to Cita Citata was made using money received by MJS from partners participating in the Bansos procurement," said Maqdir.
He continued, in understanding the problem of alleged flow of funds, it is better to explore the close relationship of the former Ministry of Social Affairs Commitment Making Officer (PPK) Matheus Joko Santoso (MJS) and Daning Saraswati as commissioner of PT Rajawali Parama Indonesia (RPI).
"From the information we received, there is a personal relationship and closeness between MJS and Daning. It is very special. For example, because of the close relationship between MJS and Daning which affects policies and related decisions in many ways, of course it is the responsibility of both of them," explained Maqdir.
Regarding the half, Maqdir also admitted that he would study the allegation. "We will certainly ask about the closeness of this relationship later in the trial," said Maqdir.
