Not Inferior To Labuan Bajo, Ancol Now Has Phinisi Ship Tours: Prices Start At IDR 1 Million
JAKARTA - PT Pembangunan Jaya Ancol collaborated with Ship management Augustine Phinisi to launch a new marine tourism vehicle, namely sailing on a Phinisi ship to the Thousand Islands for visitors to Taman Impian Jaya Ancol. The concept of the tour packages offered is similar to those in Labuan Bajo, East Nusa Tenggara (NTT).
Deputy for Tourism Products and Events Organizer of the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy Rizky Handayani hopes that the Augustine Phinisi ship can become a new tourist attraction in the Thousand Islands, DKI Jakarta.
"We know that Seribu Island actually has tremendous tourism potential. However, only a few people understand that the Thousand Islands are part of the tourist attraction in DKI Jakarta. With the Augustine Ship, it is hoped that it can become a new tourist attraction in Seribu Island", he said in a written statement, Tuesday, March 23.
Rizky said that this collaboration was key in the development and progress of each industry, especially the tourism sector during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Facilities and prices offered
Rizky said Agustine Phinisi carried the concept of live onboard by offering tour packages such as brunch trips and sunset trips, which are sailing for four hours in the Bay of Jakarta. And there is a day trip, which is sailing to the Thousand Islands for one full day.
If tourists want to stay overnight, Augustine Phinisi also has a package to stay on the boat for 1 night or 2 nights. The capacity of this ship is 12 guests.
The facilities provided are 4 bedrooms, complete with 4 bathrooms, dining room, kitchen, smart TV, karaoke room, book collection, children's toys, and 2 lounge rooms.
Meanwhile, the trip activities offered include snorkeling, scuba diving, freediving, kayaking, bird watching, yoga, coral planting, and others.
"Augustine Phinisi also offers tour packages related to environmental sustainability such as beach clean-ups, which are expected to be a lesson for visitors on how to travel responsibly while maintaining the surrounding environment", he said.
This live onboard tour also has a private trip package, where visitors only sail with their respective groups. So, this is considered by the concept of tourism in the period of adaptation to new habits, namely more customized, personalized, localized, and smaller in size. Also, traveling live onboard is a pandemic winner, because currently, special interest tours such as live onboard are very popular.
"The price offered by the Agustine Phinisi ship is around IDR 1,000,000 to IDR 3,250,000. The price depends on the packages taken by tourists", he said.
Rizky also reminded us to always apply the CHSE-based health protocol in a strict and disciplined manner. To create a sense of security and comfort for tourists when sailing using the Augustine Phinisi ship.
The owner and director of Augustine Phinisi, Diandra Hadi, said that the cruise ship will be completed in 2020, in Tanah Beru, Bulukumba, South Sulawesi. The ship measuring 30 meters long is traditionally made by the best shipbuilders in Tanah Beru, Bulukumba, South Sulawesi. The body of the ship is made of ironwood and teak.
Furthermore, he said, the song of my ancestors as a sailor is a piece of lyrics from a national song that shows Indonesia has a very strong maritime identity. He also believes that people who live in the city center want to do tours accompanied by the beauty of the Indonesian sea.
"As a citizen of Jakarta who has played and studied a lot in the Thousand Islands since childhood, I want to be able to show and promote the beauty of the Thousand Islands to many people. Because even though they are close, it turns out that there are still many Jakarta residents who do not know the beauty of the Thousand Islands", he said.
Diandra said that the Augustine Phinisi ship was expected to have a positive impact on the tourism sector in the Thousand Islands, as well as to introduce and foster a sense of love and appreciation for the natural beauty of Indonesia which is always proud of.
