A Total Of 18 Suspected Terrorists Were Arrested By Densus 88 In North Sumatra

MEDAN - The National Police's Special Datasemen (Densus) 88 Anti-terror Team arrested 18 suspected terrorists in a number of areas in North Sumatra (North Sumatra).

"The 18 suspected terrorists who were arrested were the result of the development of the Densus 88 Team in a number of areas in North Sumatra," said Head of Public Relations of the North Sumatra Regional Police, Kombes Hadi Wahyudi, quoted by Antara, Tuesday, March 23.

He explained that the first arrests took place on Friday, March 19, with details of two people from Tanjung Balai City and six people from Medan City.

Then on Sunday, March 21, the Densus Team again secured three suspected terrorists and Monday, March 22, Densus 88 secured seven people.

"Arrested in different places. Starting from the city of Medan, Binjai, Tanjung Balai, Labuhan Batu Regency, to Langkat," he said.

Hadi could not disclose the suspected terrorist network that was secured in North Sumatra because it was the authority of the Special Detachment 88 Police Headquarters.

"The complete information will later be provided by the Densus," he said.
