Participating In NFT Auction, Sophia Robot Sells Its First Painting

JAKARTA - NFT assets are gaining popularity after Twitter boss Jack Dorsey's first tweet sold out at a fantastic price. Even the Sophia robot is also involved in selling Non-Fungible Token or NFT assets.

The robot made by Hanson Robotic will sell his own paintings using NFT assets. The painting is the result of his collaboration with digital artist from Italy, Andrea Bonaceto.

"I hope people will like my work, and humans and I can collaborate in new and exciting ways in the future," Sophia said as quoted by Reuters, Monday, March 22.

Sophia and Bonaceto gave birth to paintings of world famous figures. Among them are 'Technoking of Tesla', Elon Musk.

Robot Sophia brings together a number of elements from Bonaceto's work, ranging from art history to his ability to paint that lasts several times. Sophia's robot creator, David Hanson, comments on this as a repeating cycle of evolution. Sophia's painting will be auctioned off on Wednesday.

If the painting finds a suitable bidder, Sophia will take him on a chat to identify his face. Then Sophia will perfect her painting work.

"This will be a unique work covering data from new users and personal relationships at that time," said Hanson.

NFT assets have become popular from the time influential retailers sold their digital works to fantastic prices. NFT is like a digital ownership certificate. Where the owner puts a signature and is stored using the blockchain.
