The North Kalimantan Provincial Government Presents A Heart Kateterization Laboratory At Dr. H Jusuf SK Hospital

TARAKAN Provincial Government (Pemprov) of North Kalimantan (Kaltara) has added a unit of Heart and Blood Vessel examination services at Dr. Jusuf SK Hospital in Tarakan City.

The addition of an examination tool for blood vessel and heart disorders or heart catheterization is proof of the seriousness of the provincial government to improve services to the community.

Kaltara Governor Zainal Arifin Paliwang when inaugurating the heart and blood vessel cateterization laboratory (Catheterization Laboratory) said this service had been eagerly awaited by the people of Kaltara and had been fighting for since 2021.

"The presence of this sophisticated heart examination tool is expected to further improve heart disease treatment services so that people do not need to seek treatment outside the region anymore," said Governor Zainal, Tuesday, July 30.

"Moreover, we have been waiting for this for a long time, now people don't have to go far to carry out catheterization activities in several provinces. Alhamdulillah, Jusuf SK hospital can already serve heart disease problems," he continued.

Based on health research in 2018, the number of heart disease has increased from year to year with the prevalence of heart disease in Indonesia at 1.5 percent.

For this reason, the Kaltara Provincial Government supports the opening of heart surgery services while at the same time supporting the implementation of 10 national programs.

"These ten national health programs are one of the heart, cancer, stroke, mental health, uronefrology, respiration and tuberculosis, gastrohepatology, diabetes mellitus, and emerging infection diseases, and other national programs," said Governor Zainal.

He hopes for support and synergy between IDI, other professional organizations and related agencies to play an active role in contributing to services to the community.

The governor also signed the MoU and inscriptions on the sign of the ratification of the Cath Lab service. In addition, the Governor also distributed souvenirs typical of Kaltara batik and Singapore to the chairman and team from RSJPD Harapan Kita.
