Head Of BP2MI Benny Rhamdani Asks To Postpone Investigation After Investigators Play Video Recording
JAKARTA - Head of the Indonesian Migrant Workers Protection Agency (BP2MI) Benny Rhamdani is said to have asked for an examination regarding the figure T to be temporarily postponed. The request was made when investigators played video footage showing it during a speech.
"Then he was asked about a limited meeting, then when he set the video he asked to postpone the investigation," said the Director of General Crimes at Bareskrim Polri Brigadier General Djuhandhani Rahardjo Puro to reporters, Tuesday, July 30.
Therefore, during the examination process which took place on July 29, Benny is said to have not explained in detail the figure of T who is said to be the controller of Online Gambling.
The examination process at that time was still about initial questions such as the main task as the Head of BP2MI and so on.
"We have asked but have not answered clearly who," he said.
Investigators also rescheduled the examination process for the Head of BP2MI on Thursday, August 1.
In the schedule, Benny is said to have caught the time of the examination. The Head of BP2MI requested that the information be taken on August 5.
However, investigators did not agree and continued to schedule it the day after tomorrow. The goal is that the questions that arise in the community regarding the figure of T are immediately revealed.
"He asked for the 5th, but we must immediately answer public questions. So we still ask for the 1st to attend the invitation (inspection)," said Djuhandhani.

However, Benny explained that the figure with the initials T was not the controller of online gambling. T is called Benny the mastermind behind the criminal case of trafficking in persons or TIP.
"My speech and what was conveyed in an internal meeting or limited meeting at the palace was about preventing criminal acts of trafficking in persons," said Benny.
