Megawati Mentions Hasto Case At KPK: Why Are We Treated Like This? They Don't Dare To Take Me
JAKARTA - PDI Perjuangan (PDIP) Chairwoman Megawati Soekarnoputri suspects that people around her are being targeted because no one dares to her.
Megawati made this statement when she was a speaker at the Perindo National Working Conference (Mukernas) at iNews Tower, Central Jakarta, Tuesday, July 30. Initially, Mega questioned the case that caused PDIP Secretary General Hasto Kristiyanto to be summoned by the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK).
"Why are we being treated like this, I even asked, what did I do wrong? They didn't dare to take me, the targets were all around me. It seems I'm really stupid, I just kept quiet," said Megawati in front of thousands of Perindo cadres who were present.
Megawati on that occasion also touched on the summons of Hasto which she considered full of irregularities. She then said that the KPK investigator, Rossa Purbo Bekti who came from the National Police, worked according to the rules.
"When Mr. Hasto was called, I thought it was inappropriate, to Rossa I said who are you Rossa. Don't just say you're a KPK employee, I'm not afraid," said Megawati.
She then reminded all parties not to be afraid if they are indeed innocent. "I always teach the truth, Satyam Eva Jayate," she concluded.
