Pegadaian Profit Reaches IDR 2.9 Trillion In First Half Of 2024, Up 37.9 Percent
JAKARTA - PT Pegadaian recorded a net profit in the first half of 2024 reaching IDR 2.9 trillion.
This profit increased by 37.9 percent compared to the same period last year of Rp2.11 trillion.
"Our interest has also increased, in the first semester we recorded Rp2.9 trillion. In the first semester, Pegadaian among industry and other state-owned companies seemed to be burning with good growth," said the President Director of Pegadaian Damar Latri Setiawan during a press conference, at The Gade Tower Jakarta, Tuesday, July 30.
Damar said the profit achievement was supported by Pegadaian turnover as of June 2024 which increased 21.2 percent to Rp118 trillion.
Meanwhile, in the same period in 2023, it was IDR 97.8 trillion.
"Omzet Rp118 trillion and our hope is that if it is multiplied by two Rp230 trillion, it can reach one year turnover. Semester II is usually better," he explained.
In addition, Damar said, Pegadaian's assets also grew 20 percent at the end of June 2024 to Rp93.6 trillion, compared to 2023 which amounted to Rp77.6 trillion.
"This is rare in this same condition to grow 20 percent," he said.
Damar said that Pegadaian's first semester performance was also supported by outstanding loans which grew 22.5 percent to Rp77 trillion, compared to last year's Rp62.9 trillion.

Furthermore, he said, his party also recorded an increase in the number of customers by 9.1 percent to 24.9 million from 2023 which amounted to 22.8 million customers.
Meanwhile, the ratio of non-performing loans (NPL) was recorded at 1.01 percent.
He said this NPL decreased by 0.54 percent from the same period in 2023 which was 1.55 percent.
