GIIAS 2024 Lasts Success By Breaking Visitors' Record

JAKARTA - The 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS) annual exhibition officially ended on July 28, and this year is said to have broken the record for exhibition visitors.

This was revealed by Rizwan Alamsjah, Chairman III and Chairman of the GAIKINDO Exhibition Organizers, who stated that the enthusiasm of GIIAS 2024 visitors was extraordinary, and even managed to break the highest number of GIIAS visitors recorded in 2019.

"The positive spirit shown by GIIAS 2024 participants is an extraordinary magnet for visitors, starting from the first day of the opening of the exhibition, until the last day the interest of visitors never subsided, until GIIAS 2024 again broke the record with a total record of 475,084 visitors present throughout the GIIAS 2024," Rizwan said in his official statement, Monday, July 29.

According to Rizwan, the interesting factor that is also the visitors' magnet is the presence of a test drive program with a complete vehicle choice and the flagship feature of the New and Improve Water Obstacle and Artificial Obstacle which is specially designed to test the durability and performance of vehicles, including electric-based motor vehicles.

GIIAS 2024 also presents the largest test drive area from the previous event. Accommodate a total of more than 150 test drive vehicles and more than 25 test ride vehicles that visitors can try directly through the track as far as 2 kilometers.

From the data received by VOI, it was recorded that a total of more than 18 thousand car trips and 6 thousand motorcycle trips lasted throughout GIIAS 2024.

The positive achievement at GIIAS 2024 also includes reports of significant achievements from participants during the exhibition. Although transactions are not the target set by GAIKINDO at the GIIAS implementation, this year's extraordinary achievement at GIIAS will be an important contribution to the achievements of the Indonesian automotive industry this year.

"GIIAS is GAIKINDO's effort to show the development of the Indonesian automotive industry, as well as a boost for growth, and after hearing reports from participants, we believe this time GIIAS will again fulfill its role very well," added Rizwan.

As is known, this year GIIAS 2024 presents a total of more than 55 participating vehicle brands, including from passenger vehicles: Audi, Baic, BMW, BYD, Chery, Citroen, Daihatsu, GAC Aion, GWM, Honda, Hyundai, Jetour, KIA, Lexus, Mazda, Mercedes-Benz, MG, MINI, Mitsubishi Motors, Neta, Nissan, Porsche, Seres, Subaru, Suzuki, Toyota, VinFast, Volkswagen, Volvo, Wuling.

Meanwhile, from commercial vehicles that also attended, namely DFSK, Hino, Isuzu, Mitsubishi Fuso, UD Trucks. As well as brands from two-wheeled vehicles ranging from Alva, Aprilia, Astra Honda Motor, Exotic, Gelis, Harley-Davidson, Ion Mobility, Italjet, Kupprum, Motoguzzi, Pacific, Piaggio, Polytron, Royal Alloy, Royal Enfield, Scomadi, Vespa, V Move, Volta and ZPT.

In addition to passenger vehicles, commercial vehicles, and two-wheeled vehicles, 3 Karoseri brands, namely Adiputro, Laksana, and Tentrem, and more than 120 participating brands from the supporting industry are also present to showcase their latest innovation and technology in the implementation of GIIAS 2024.
