Gibran Volunteers Ready To Support Kaesang Forward Jakarta Gubernatorial Election

Volunteers supporting Gibran Rakabuming Raka, Gibran Center are ready to support the youngest son of President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) who is also the General Chair of PSI, Kaesang Pangarep to run in the 2024 Jakarta gubernatorial election (Pilgub).

"Yes, it must be, he is also a young person who currently (has) potential. I don't think we can limit young people. Let's give opportunities, let's open up young people how they image, how can they be interested in building Indonesia," said the General Chairperson of the Gibran Center, Marsudianto in Kemayoran, Jakarta, Saturday, July 27.

According to Marsudianto, young people must be given space to be able to build Indonesia in their own way.

"And we might be able to provide (support, ed), accompany or participate in supervising and or also encourage. Oh yes, young people also have abilities," he said.

Marsudianto did not deny that there would be discussions regarding the direction of support for the 2024 Pilkada in the I National Working Meeting which was opened today. However, he said, discussions would not be too specific because the National Working Meeting would focus on mapping economic potential in 34 provinces.

"When we talk about our support at the National Working Meeting, we will discuss everything, what each DPD DPW revealed about the figure of the Regional Head Elections (Pilkada) later on November 27, both DKI, Central Java, whatever Kalimantan we accommodate in this National Working Meeting, and we will see its role in the Pilkada situation", said Marsudianto.

"But first, we are the economy first, yes, the economy of each member of the Gibran Center and every region owned by the Gibran Center Regional Leadership Council," he concluded.
