Passenger Volume Continues To Increase, KCIC: Reaches 24,000 Per Day
JAKARTA - PT Kereta Cepat Indonesia China (KCIC) noted that the volume of passengers on the Fast Train has continued to increase since its initial operation on October 17 last year. Now, flight passengers have reached 24,000 people per day.
General Manager of KCIC Corporate Secretary Eva Chairunisa said the volume ofPORTed passengers continues to increase positively from the beginning the average volume ranges from 9,000 passengers per day.
"Now the average volume of daily passengers has increased with the highest volume reaching 24,000 passengers per day in July 2024," he said in an official statement, Friday, July 26.
Eva said the increase in volume was also followed by the gradual increase in the number of trips from 14 regular trips per day in October 2023, which has now reached 48 trips per day.
Furthermore, Eva said that the current increase in passenger volume is also inseparable from various service innovations carried out by KCIC, both at stations and on trains.
"This effort includes improving facilities, better services, as well as a more comfortable and attractive travel experience for all passengers," he explained.
Eva also detailed the various innovations that have been made, including the application of dynamic tariffs, collaboration with tourist destinations, connectivity with various modes of transportation, group services, subscription cards, to Freequant▁kebutuhansher.

On the other hand, Eva said the increased accessibility of Tegalluar Station was also carried out as a strategy to increase passenger volume. Currently, KCIC continues to accelerate so that access routes at Tegalluar Station make it easier for the community.
Eval said that through coordination with all stakeholders such as the Ministry of Public Works and Public Housing (PUPR), the West Java Provincial Government, the Jabodetabek Transportation Management Agency (BPTJ) and Jasa Marga are currently in the process of making the KM 151A toll exit which will be directly connected to the Cibiru bridge, which is the main access to Tegalluar Station.
"In addition, the acceleration for the opening of the 149 temporary toll exit is also being pursued and is expected to operate in September 2024," he explained.
Add Travel And Operations Karawang Station
Not only that, Eva said KCIC has also prepared various strategic steps to increase passenger volume. One of them is that programming will gradually increase the number of trips to 62 trips per day in early 2025.

Eva said that to be able to operate Karawang Station serving ups and downs of passengers, the preparation of access roads is an important factor. Currently, KCIC is preparing access from the trans heksa Karawang (THK) and Deltamas areas to go to Karawang station.
