With A Black Jacket Capital, YS Claims To Be A KPK Employee And Extorts Officials Of Up To IDR 300 Million
JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) arrested YS who claimed to be an employee and blackmailed officials in the Bogor Regency Government, West Java today. He is said to only have a vest when carrying out his action.
"The information I got was that there was a jacket or vest that resembled a vest used by KPK employees (equipped, red) with velcro, yes," said KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika to reporters at the KPK's Merah Putih building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta, Thursday, July 25.
Tessa said this jacket was black and there was no writing or the KPK logo but it was claimed that it was only owned by employees. So, YS can convince the official which resulted in the handover of Rp. 300 million.
Furthermore, Tessa reminded officials not to just trust people who claim to be KPK employees. Because, in carrying out their duties they always carry a letter of assignment.
"The second is an official identity.... The point is that there is an ID, identity, official identity and activities that are not strange," he said

As previously reported, the KPK arrested a fake employee who blackmailed an official at the Bogor Regency Government. The arrests were made after the perpetrator with the initials YS launched his immediately reported action.
When receiving the report, the KPK dispatched a team consisting of investigators and the Inspectorate. The goal is to ensure whether or not the employee status of the person is correct.
YS was then taken to the KPK's Red and White Building, Kuningan Persada, South Jakarta for clarification. When arresting this fraudster, the anti-corruption commission also found Rp300 million in cash, an iPhone of one unit, and a white Porsche car with police number B 1556 XD.
