Quite Successfully In China But Buick Actually Gets Problems In His Own Country
JAKARTA A luxury auto brand from the United States, Buick announced the postponement of its first electric car launch. The initial plan to introduce Buick's electric car this year had to be postponed due to a number of factors.
Previously, quoted from Car and Driver, July 26, Buick is rumored to be presenting an electric version of the Electra E5, which is a popular model in the Chinese market. However, the high tariff imposed by the United States government on importing electric vehicles from China is likely to be one of the causes of the delay.
General Motors CEO Mary Barra, who is the parent of Buick, also stated that the electric car market is growing stably but slower than previously expected. Therefore, GM made investment adjustments to suit the actual market demand.

Buick currently has three electric car models sold in China, namely Velite 6, Electra E5, and Electra E4. The three models have not been marketed in the United States. With this delay, consumers in the United States should be more patiently looking forward to the presence of Buick's first electric car.
The delay in launching the Buick electric car is an indicator that the automotive industry is facing challenges in the transition to the electric vehicle era. Although many automakers have announced ambitious targets for full electrification, market reality shows that this process takes longer than expected.
