BPK Finds Again Disadvantaged Social Assistance Distribution, Heru Budi Answers This

JAKARTA - Acting Governor of DKI Jakarta Heru Budi Hartono responded to the findings of the Supreme Audit Agency (BPK) regarding the discrepancy in the distribution of social assistance (bansos) at the Education Office and Social Service.

The findings were disclosed by BPK when submitting the results of the DKI Jakarta regional government financial report (LKPD) examination for the 2023 fiscal year.

Heru admitted that data on social assistance recipients, both social assistance for meeting basic needs (PKD) and education assistance, must continue to be synchronized to ensure that they are right on target.

"Therefore, it is always necessary to synchronize data on DTKS (integrated data on social welfare) and PPPKE (targeting the acceleration of the elimination of extreme poverty). Social services do that, the statistics are always in sync," said Heru at the DKI Jakarta DPRD building, Thursday, July 25.

Heru also admitted that the mapping of data on social assistance recipients often changes. This is due to the movement of residents outside the area to recipients of social assistance who died.

"Some of the residents enter Jakarta, some leave Jakarta, some even, sorry, have died, and others. We have adjusted that. DKI has done the matching (data)," said Heru.

For information, the DKI Jakarta Provincial Government has again received an Unqualified Opinion (WTP) from the BPK on the report on the results of DKI Jakarta's financial audit for the 2023 fiscal year.

The WTP predicate from the regional government's (LKPD) financial statements is the seventh time it has been maintained in a row since 2017 or during Anies Baswedan's leadership as Governor of DKI Jakarta.

Despite winning the WTP title, BPK still found financial problems in the composition of the DKI Provincial Government's financial statements.

One of them is the finding of distributing social assistance to several recipients who do not meet the criteria at the Social Service and Education Office.
