With This System, Alva's Electric Motor Is Called Not Overcharging

TANGERANG - In the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), Alva officially launched two new variants of Cervo, namely Q and Boost Charge while strengthening brand commitments in presenting sustainable mobility.

Both are present in a number of advanced feature updates, one of which is the Alva Intelligent Charging System (AICS).

Unlike electric motorcycle manufacturers, which generally rely on battery swap systems, Alva is confident in the charging system on his motorbike. However, what happens if the charging is overcharging?

Head of RnD Alva Ahmad Hakim, said that the system developed by his party could find out that the motorcycle battery was fully charged, so that the feature could automatically stop when the motor was charged at 100 percent.

"When it is 100 percent filled, the filling will stop automatically," said Hakim to the media at ICE BSD, Tangerang, Wednesday, July 24.

He also revealed that this feature has been systematically designed depending on how much percent of the charging is. If it is filled as much as 80 percent and above, the intensity of the charging will decrease slowly.

"This is unique because the boost charge we developed is able to fill in quickly, but when it is at 80-90 percent, the intensity of its use will decrease slowly and will stop," added Hakim

Both Alva Cervo Q and Cervo Boost Charge are designed to meet daily mobility needs. Both have the ability to charge from 10 percent to 80 percent in less than 30 minutes.

Apart from the charging system, the brand under the auspices of PT Ilectra Motor Group also updated the anti-lock braking system (ABS) feature to support better security and control than before.

Cervo Boost Charge is priced at IDR 45.5 million, while Cervo Q costs IDR 49.5 million. All prices include On The Road DKI Jakarta.
