JAKARTA - The 9th Vice President of the Republic of Indonesia, Hamzah Haz passed away today, Wednesday, July 24, at 09.30 WIB. Hamzah died at the age of 84 after undergoing treatment at the Tegalan Clinic, Matraman, Jakarta. The sad news was conveyed by the Secretary-General of the United Development Party (PPP) Arwani Thomafi. The plan is that the deceased will be buried in a family cemetery in Cisarua, Bogor. It is known, in the world of politics, Hamzah served as Vice President accompanying the 5th President of the Republic of Indonesia, Megawati Soekarnoputri. Hamzah Haz served in the 2001-2004 period.
