This announcement took fans by surprise and the name My Chemical Romance became a hot topic on social media.

In fact, MCR guitarist Frank Iero had announced a project called Conventional Weapons which contained 10 My Chemical Romance songs that had never been officially released. Iero also said the process of producing a new album with the new drummer Jarrod Alexander in the previous year.

“When things start to get successful and go well, that's when a lot of people start having opinions and that's when you have problems. Everyone has an opinion on how the MCR should be. So it's hard to figure out where to go next, ”said Gerard Way in 2019.

Delayed Reunion

My Chemical Romance announced their comeback on October 31, 2019 with an Instagram post that read, “Return” and “Like Phantoms Forever”.

They will have a reunion concert on December 20 and tickets are sold out in four minutes. The enthusiasm of fans has led them to add concert dates in Japan, Australia and New Zealand in 2020.
