President's Cup 2024: Sananta scored a quick goal, Persis Solo held by PSM Makassar 2-2

BANDUNG - Persis Solo lost the opportunity to pick up the first three points in the second match of the 2024 Presidential Cup Group B phase at Si Jalak Harupat Stadium, Bandung Regency, Monday, July 22, 2024.

Facing PSM Makassar, Laskar Samber Life was 2-0 up, before being equated to 2-2.

At the beginning of the first half, Persis Solo immediately kicked off the match by winning through a quick goal. Ramadan Sananta stole the show because it was able to break the deadlock when the game had only been running 25 seconds.

The striker broke into the goal of his former team after escaping from PSM defender Yuran Fernandes' control when he received a pass from defender Persis.

Then, Sananta fired hard from the left side of Juku Eja's goal. Sananta's kick ball hit the post before finally entering the PSM goal.

This fast goal came as a surprise. The referee had decided to communicate with the VAR referee regarding the potential for offside. It took time, but then Ramadhan Sananta's goal was approved.

Continuing the match in the second half, PSM Makassar did not want to give up. They beat Persis to catch up. The opening goal made by PSM Makassar was created by Yuran Fernadez when the match entered the 58th minute. Continuing the bait from a corner kick, Yuran Fernandez's header shook the net.
