KPK Focuses On Searching Before Checking Mbak Ita Regarding Allegations Of Corruption At The Semarang City Government

JAKARTA - The Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) has so far focused on conducting searches related to allegations of corruption by the Semarang City Government (Pemkot). They will only schedule the examination of witnesses and suspects after the forced efforts are completed.This was conveyed by KPK spokesman Tessa Mahardika when asked about the examination of Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu with her husband, Arwin Basri, who is the chairman of Commission D of the Central Java DPRD."“ Until now, investigators are still carrying out investigative activities in Semarang,”" said Tessa to reporters, Monday, July 22.“(Investigators, ed) have not scheduled the examination of witnesses including the suspect,” continued the spokesman with the investigator's background.Previously reported, the KPK stated that there were three allegations of corruption within the Semarang City Government that were being handled. The details are two state administrators while the rest are private.
Based on information circulating, the four people who were prevented were Hevearita Gunaryanti Rahayu who was the Mayor of Semarang with her husband, Alwin Basri; Chairman of the Association of Indonesian National Construction Implementers (Gapensi) Semarang City, Martono; and Rahmat Djangkar who is a private party.In this case, the anti-corruption commission has confiscated a number of documents from the search attempt.
