Bogor City Police, West Java Police, are investigating allegations of malpractice that befell a mother with the initials VY (33) at a hospital in Bogor City.Head of the Bogor City Police Criminal Investigation Unit, Kompol Lutfi Olot Gigantara, said that the victim's husband reported allegations of malpractice by one of the medical personnel in December 2021, after his wife underwent caesarean surgery during childbirth."We have met the victim and the post-mortem is still paralyzed and uses a hose, unable to communicate perfectly," said Lutfi in Bogor City, Antara, Monday, July 22.His party has examined eight witnesses, consisting of four hospital medical personnel, and four others are the victim's family."The evidence that we have confiscated is a letter from the Indonesian Medical Disciplinary Honorary Council (MKDKI) because after the incident at the hospital in Bogor City, the victim was immediately taken to a hospital in Jakarta for other medical treatment," he said.Lutfi revealed the obstacles in handling this report because it involved two medical areas, namely West Java and DKI Jakarta, so the parties had to coordinate with the MKDKI."One of the statements from the MKDKI said that the actions taken by the medical personnel were an ethical error in one of the behaviors, which did not provide complete information to the families of the victims," said Lutfi. To obtain information clearly and technically, said Lutfi, the Bogor City Police will invite MKDKI to provide a scientific explanation.
"We need to make other efforts, approach the medical experts to explain to us, so we can conclude whether this event is a criminal act or not," he said.
