Gerindra Supports Katino-Ning Zidna in 2024 Kediri City Election

KEDIRI - The Gerindra Party is nominating the Chairman of the Kediri City Gerindra Party DPC Katino in the 2024 Kediri City Regional Election (Pilkada) as a candidate for Mayor of Kediri and Zidna Al Izzah as a candidate for Deputy Mayor.

Secretary of the East Java Gerindra Party DPD, Kharisma Febriansah, said that his party was solid in carrying the chairman of the Gerindra Party DPC, Kediri City, Katino, in the 2024 regional elections.

"Mr. Katino is a potential candidate for Mayor of Kediri," said Bang Kharisma, his nickname during the Gerindra Party DPC Rapimcab, Kediri Regency, which was held in Kediri, Sunday, July 21.

At the same moment, DPD Gerindra also expressed support for the incumbent Regent of Kediri Hanindito Himawan Pramana or who is familiarly called Mas Dito to run again in the 2024 Kediri Regency Regional Election.

Meanwhile, Chairman of the DPC Gerindra Party for Kediri City, Katino, admitted that he was supported by the party going forward in the 2024 regional elections for Kediri City.

Katino said the political map changes every day. However, he confirmed that he had been promoted by the Gerindra and Hanura parties to run in the 2024 Kediri City Regional Election contestation.

He has also decided regarding the candidate for Deputy Mayor of Kediri. It is believed that the pair he chooses will be able to win the hearts of supporters in the city of Kediri.

"For the deputy, I chose from the fatayat cadre, namely Ning Zidna, daughter of the late Ning Lik, former Deputy Mayor of Kediri," said Katino.

Previously, Zidna Al Izzah or usually called Ning Zidna had also run as a legislator in the 2024 Kediri City Legislative Election from the Golkar Party.

Meanwhile, Ning Zidna also admitted that she had been invited to communicate regarding her choice to take part in the 2024 Kediri City Regional Election contestation.

She also agreed with the statement made by the Chairman of the Gerindra Party DPC, Kediri City, Katino.

"Thank God, Mr. Katino trusted me as his representative in the 2024 Kediri City Regional Election. Please pray for all my friends so that this will go smoothly until registration time," she said.

She admitted that this decision was both happy and burdensome news. However, she will try her best to accept this mandate.

"This is certainly happy news, but it is also a burden, because I am Zidna, and my mother Ning Lik is certainly a different figure. Hopefully I will not disappoint the people of Kediri City if I am finally given this mandate. Bismillah," added Ning Zidna.
