East Kalimantan Provincial Government Encourages Creative Economy Sector In Culinary Sector To Introduce Cultural Identity

The Provincial Government of East Kalimantan (Kaltim) has just launched empowerment of creative economy actors (ekraf) in a typical regional culinary field. This is intended in order to welcome the 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in the Capital State of the Archipelago (IKN). "The 79th Anniversary of the Republic of Indonesia in IKN is one of the national agendas that must be welcomed with opportunities. In addition to tour packages, typical culinary delights are mandatory things that must be promoted to guests of state invitations," said Head of the East Kalimantan Tourism Office Ririn Sari Dewi in Samarinda, Saturday, as reported by ANTARA. According to Ririn, this is a golden opportunity for local creative economy actors to show their potential and expertise in presenting the typical Kaltim culinary to thousands of invited guests. "The production of the creative economy is very important because these products not only produce economic value but also represent the uniqueness of a nation's culture and creativity," added Head of Tourism Destination Development of the East Kalimantan Tourism Office, Anggit explained, appreciation of creative economy products can be in the form of support in the form of product purchase, promotion, or recognition of the quality and innovation produced. "By giving proper appreciation, we can encourage further growth and development of the creative economy sector, as well as build strong cultural identities," he said.

One culinary entrepreneur in East Kalimantan Arta Mulia said the strengthening of typical culinary delights was the right opportunity to introduce a typical East Kalimantan culinary to the wider public. "The East Kalimantan culinary delights are not inferior to culture and tourist objects," said Arta. He highlighted the importance of securing raw material supplies, providing training to culinary business actors, as well as increasing market access to local culinary products. "Without the unity of relevant stakeholders, this plan will not go well," he stressed. Arta hopes that with synergy between the government, business actors, and the community, Kaltim's culinary delights can be the main attraction for invited guests visiting IKN.
