Menpan RB Emphasizes Leadership In The Era Of Digital Transformation

JAKARTA - Minister of Administrative Reform and Bureaucratic Reform (PANRB) Abdullah Azwar Anas emphasized the importance of a digital capable leader (digital leadership) in line with the era and spirit of transformation that the government continues to boost.

Anas emphasized that the leadership figure in the bureaucracy is very influential in bringing his work team to reach development targets as expected.

"One of the most important things in the digital transformation process that we are working on together is having a digital capable leader. I hope the digital leadership can continue to be encouraged," Anas said in his statement in Jakarta, Saturday.

According to him, the digital capability of an organization turns out to be very significant determined by human factors such as leadership, work culture, mindset and others.

So far, the organization's digital capabilities are considered to be largely determined by technical factors such as advanced mastery of technology, ownership of advanced Research & Development facilities, or the ability to apply digital technology.

"It turns out that the most important factors in the digitalization process are the quality of humans, both leadership capacity, the values they believe in, the mindset, and the positive attitude in responding to advances in digital technology," he said.

The former Head of LKPP also underlined the importance of collaboration in building the Public Service Toll Road' through digitalization, perfecting the infrastructure development that has been carried out by the President so far.

Anas explained that the current challenges of digital services require changes from complicated, complex, and long conditions, to simpler, easier, faster, and more transparent.

The Indonesian government also has a long-term, medium and short timeline as directed by the President that this year there must be significant progress in our digital transformation.

He also hopes that IKA Pimnas alumni can be part of encouraging bureaucracy to have more impact on society.

"I congratulate IKA Pimnas, hopefully it will have a lot of impact on public services," added Anas.

Meanwhile, Acting Governor of South Sulawesi who is also an alumni of IKA Pimnas Zudan Arif Fakrulloh expressed his appreciation to the Minister of PANRB who had given directions to IKA Pimnas alumni and the ranks of the South Sulawesi Provincial Government.

He hopes that the dialogue that occurs in the seminar can be the starting point for the birth of policies that are useful and make people's welfare more prosperous.

"There are three points that we absorb from the direction of the Minister regarding human resource development, bureaucratic reform, and how to improve the quality of public services through digital transformation. Hopefully, our dialogue today can have a strong impact on the community," concluded Zudan.
