Make Proud! PT Dirgantara Indonesia Exports CN 235 Aircraft To Senegal IDR 354 Billion
JAKARTA - The Indonesian Export Financing Agency (LPEI) or Indonesia Eximbank supports PT Dirgantara Indonesia (PT DI) to export CN 235-220 aircraft to Senegal worth IDR 354 billion through the Government's Special Assignment scheme or National Interest Account (NIA).
The scheme is implemented to provide export financing for transactions or projects that are commercially difficult to implement but deemed necessary by the government.
To increase exports of domestic superior products and national strategic industries to enter non-traditional markets.
The Secretary of the LPEI Institute, Agus Windiarto, said that the special assignment to the LPEI is a form of government support in increasing export competitiveness, especially in strategic industries.
"Moreover, the government is currently encouraging the national industry to export to new export destination countries", during the Ferry Flight of PT Dirgantara Indonesia to Senegal, as quoted by VOI, Sunday, March 21.
Agus added, improving the export performance of the national industry is very important for increasing the value of the trade balance. Therefore, he considered it necessary to increase export value both in terms of export volume and export destination markets.
"Currently, the market expansion of export destination countries to non-traditional countries is very wide open, but it has some special risks that are often avoided by both industry players and national banks", he said.
According to Agus, funding support for PT DI is proof that LPEI as the Ministry of Finance's Special Mission Vehicle (SMV) can bridge the national strategic industry to penetrate non-traditional markets.
"Exports of aircraft to Senegal are considered to have strategic value for the national industry because the supply record of export orders and overseas customer satisfaction are among the main requirements in evaluating international tenders", he explained.
"This project is also one of the strategic steps to enter the markets of South Asian and African countries", he continued.
For information, LPEI's financing support is not only beneficial for PT DI but also other supporting industries in the country.
This step is useful in supplying the needs of the aircraft industry, including in the business fields of machining for landing gear, tube forming, polyurethane, heat treatment, thermoforming of acrylic, tool and jig, and dozens of other industries.
