Heavy Rain Predicted To Flush Parts Of Indonesia

JAKARTA - The Meteorology, Climatology and Geophysics Agency (BMKG) predicted heavy rain accompanied by lightning and strong winds to occur in parts of Indonesia on Sunday.

According to BMKG, heavy rains accompanied by lightning and strong winds have the potential to flush Aceh, Bali, Banten, Bengkulu, Gorontalo, Jambi, West Java, East Java.

Then, West Kalimantan, South Kalimantan, East Kalimantan, North Kalimantan, Lampung, Maluku, West Nusa Tenggara, Papua, West Papua.

West Sulawesi, Central Sulawesi, Southeast Sulawesi, North Sulawesi, West Sumatra and South Sumatra.

In the BMKG Daily Weather Overview, it is stated that increased rainfall can cause hydrometeorological disasters such as floods, flash floods, and landslides.

Meanwhile, in the DKI Jakarta area, according to BMKG forecasts, the weather tends to be sunny and cloudy this weekend.
