9 Concept And 7 Seres Seres Appear In GIIAS, Advanced SUV Supported By Artificial Intelligence Technology
JAKARTA - PT Sokoindo Automobile, a manufacturer and ATPM car brand DFSK and SERES, features the two most luxurious and sophisticated electric cars at the 2024 Gaikindo Indonesia International Auto Show (GIIAS), namely Seres 9 Concept and Seres 7.
CEO of PT Sokoindo Automobile, Alexander Barus, said that at the GIIAS 2024 event, SERES Indonesia featured various electric vehicle products, including Seres E1, Seres 7, and Seres 9 Concept. These three models are designed to improve driving experience with various advanced features, ranging from functional models to luxury SUV concepts.
"Seres 9 Concept and Seres 7 represent the next electrification step from PT Sokoindo Automobile for the Indonesian market in the future," Barus said during his introduction at GIIAS, Wednesday, July 17.
The presence of Seres 9 Concept at GIIAS aims at a market survey of this vehicle. Equipped with AI technology (Artificial Intelligence) and more than 300 smart features, Seres 9 Concept offers the concept of a sophisticated, safe and comfortable full-size electric SUV. Its flagship features include Intelligent Projection Headlight, Width Indicator, One Touch Open and Close Electric Suction Door with Millimeter Wave Radar, Air Suspension Heavy Adjustment Range, Zero Gravity Seat, and Privacy Shield.
The Seres 9 Concept exterior is modern and premium, with a length of 5,230 mm, a width of 1,999 mm, a height of 1,800 mm, and a wheelbase of 3,110 mm, making it one of the longest cars in its class. This car is equipped with tires measuring 265/40 R22 (front) and 285/40 R22 (backward) and Panoramic Roof.
Interior Seres 9 Concept displays luxury with the best material. Equipped with premium entertainment features, the journey becomes more enjoyable. The spacious cabin with a seat wrapped in Nappa skin and Zero Gravity Seat on the second row adds comfort.
The car also has three screens, including the main screen of the driver measuring 15.6 inches, a 16-inch passenger screen, and a 12.3-inch instrument panel. Entertainment features such as karaoke, integrated projectors, and a 32-inch screen that can function as a drive-in cinema make the driving experience even more impressive.
The 9 Concept series has a distance of up to 630 km (based on WLTC), with an acceleration of 0-100 km/hour in 4.3 seconds. The EV version (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) has an internal combustion engine that functions as a generator, so the combination distance reaches 1,239 km (based on the WLTP measurement method).
"We present a series of 9 Concepts to see the response of the Indonesian market to this car in the future," added Barus.

The model has been launched in China under the name Aito M9 and received good review, with more than 100,000 unit orders to date.
"We hope to get a positive response from Indonesian consumers," he said.
Meanwhile, Seres 7 is a luxury SUV model that was previously introduced in Indonesia. Its presence at GIIAS is also for market surveys. With a capacity of six passengers, Seres 7 has a length dimension of 5,020 mm, a width of 1,945 mm, and a height of 1,760 mm with a wheelbase of 2,820 mm. The exterior design is elegant with a comfortable and luxurious interior cabin. This car is also equipped with safety features for driving protection and comfort.
Seres 7 uses the EV (Extended Range Electric Vehicle) technology which combines an internal combustion engine of 1,500 cc turbo with a battery of 40 kWh. With a battery, the SERES 7 can cover a distance of 165 km (with the WLTP measurement method), and a combination distance of 1,050 km (with the WLTP measurement method).
Finally, there is the Seres E1 model which is also exhibited at GIIAS 2024. Designed for four passengers, this electric car has a stylish and modern design with functional features, making it an ideal choice for consumers who want to switch to electric cars.
E1 series are available in two variants: E1 type B with a lithium battery with a capacity of 13.8 kWh which has a distance of 180 km, and E1 type L with a lithium battery with a capacity of 16.8 kWh which has a distance of 220 km.
