7 Convicts In Vina Case Write To The Directorate General Of PAS, Ask To Move Again To Cirebon Prison
Seven convicts in the Vina Cirebon case wrote to the Directorate General of Corrections (Ditjen PAS) of the Ministry of Law and Human Rights to ask for the transfer of their detention back to the Cirebon Penitentiary (Lapas).
The seven convicts are Rivaldi Aditya Wardana, Eko Ramadhani, Hadi Saputra, Jaya, Eka Sandi, Sudirman and Supriyanto. Currently, they are being held in Banceuy Prison and Kebon Waru Detention Center, Bandung.
"If the return of prisoners to Cirebon, we have sent the kemren letter to the Director General of PAS and the head of the prison so that these convicts are returned to prison (Cirebon)," said the attorney for the convicts in the Vina Cirebon case, Roelly Pangabean to reporters, Wednesday, July 17.
The reason for the request for the transfer is so that the convicts can meet or be visited by their families.
Because, if they are still detained in Bandung, the family must spend quite a lot of money on transportation and so on.
"As for why? Because it's a pity that his family wants to meet him, it's hard to have to spend so much money in Bandung," he said.
Moreover, the transfer of the convicts to Banceuy Prison and Kebon Waru Detention Center, Bandung was on the grounds of simplifying the investigation process of the suspect Pegi Setiawan.
However, at this time, based on the decision of the Bandung District Court, Pegi Setiawan is no longer a suspect in the alleged murder case of Vina Cirebon.
"Because the issue with Bandung, I think it has been resolved. The Pegi problem has been resolved. What's more to wait for. That's all about the letter," said Roelly.
