After 10.6 Years Of Sleep, This Old Bitcoin Rises By A 7.597% Increase

JAKARTA - A Bitcoin address that has been sleeping for 10.6 years has suddenly returned to activity. This incident marks a significant revival amid the modestly visible market recovery.

Reporting from Coingape, on Monday, July 15, blockchain tracker Whale Alert observed the activity of a Bitcoin address that had been sleeping for 10.6 years. This Wallet contains 25 Bitcoin units with a current value of 1,576,085 US Dollars (approximately Rp25 billion) based on the current price of BTC. The price of 1 Bitcoin at the time of writing this article reached 62,899.86 US Dollars (approximately Rp1.01 billion), an increase of 5.32% in the last 24 hours.

When Bitcoin first entered this wallet in 2013, its value was only around 20,399 US Dollars (around Rp330 million). This shows that the owner of this previously inactive Bitcoin wallet has recorded a gain of 7,597%. It also shows that many of those who invested in Bitcoin in Satoshi's current era are gaining huge profits.

During the inactivated period until it was reactivated, the Bitcoin address recorded a profit of 10,419%, an increase from 81,667 US Dollars (approximately Rp1.3 billion) to more than 8.6 million US Dollars (approximately Rp136 billion).

The return of this long inactive Bitcoin address has attracted attention as it suggests that the old Bitcoin holder may take advantage of rising prices to take substantial advantage. However, such a phenomenon also sparked debate about when is the right time to take advantage of crypto investment, especially in the midst of high market volatility.
