The Form Of Consumer Appreciation, PLN's Collaboration With Astra Encourages Future EBT Development
PT PLN (Persero) gave awards to a number of consumers from the industrial sector as a form of appreciation for the Enterprise Customer Gathering event. An award was given to PT Astra International as a Customer With Most Respondive Settlement.
PLN President Director Darmawan Prasodjo revealed that the contribution of customers is very large in maintaining stability and encouraging the country's economic growth. For this reason, the joint activities of these industrial customers are a form of PLN respecting all the cooperation that has been established so far.
From this activity, it is also expected to increase the closeness between PLN and customers from the industrial sector. So that it further strengthens cooperation in order to encourage national economic growth to reach 8 percent and be sustainable.
"This is an Indonesian economic fighter. Being in front of maintaining not only economic stability, but how we maintain the momentum of economic growth, build national capacity, create jobs, and provide prosperity for the Indonesian people," Darmawan explained in a written statement.
PLN through this activity is also committed to improving services. This includes providing reliable energy for all customers, as well as swallowing that PLN continues to encourage and support low-carbon energy.
"In order to support low-carbon energy, we are also developing a beyond kWh business where PLN not only provides electricity, but also internet services, fiber optics, and green services to support low-carbon industries," Darmawan explained.
PLN's award to PT Astra International was received directly by the Director of PT Energia Prima Nusantara (EPN), Asep Iwan Gunawan. He emphasized that EPN as part of the Astra Group is committed to continuing to collaborate with PLN to provide new and renewable energy (EBT) for Indonesia.
"With awards like this, EPN as a pillar of energy development in Astra. can be the leading partner with PLN to provide new and renewable energy (EBT)," said Asep Iwan.
Until now, Astra's collaboration through EPN with PLN has carried out a number of projects related to EBT. Of course this step is in line with PLN which continues to support the provision of low-carbon energy.
Starting from the Roof Solar Power Plant (PLTS) or solar panels, through EPN cooperation with PT Indonesia Comnets Plus (PLN Icon Plus), a subsidiary of PLN. This collaboration is to meet the needs of Roof PLTS in Astra groups and customers outside the Astra group.
Then the EPN collaboration with PLN in early 2024, namely the Minihydro Power Plant (PLTM) in Besai Kemu, Lampung, had a production capacity of 2 x 3.5 MW. In other words, the PLTM is capable of producing green energy of 39 Gigawatt Hours (GWh) per year.
Another collaboration between Astra and PLN is also related to the development of Waste to Energy (WTE) in Legok Nangka, Bandung Regency. Until the plan to develop geothermal.
"We can see that PLN provides a very open door for Astra Group to collaborate. There has been a lot of work done with PLN and there will be more in the future," he said.
