Open Market Access, Ministry Of Tourism And Creative Economy Invites Ministry Of Trade To Hold Competition For Indonesian Game Day

JAKARTA - The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy (Kemenparekraf) in collaboration with the Ministry of Trade (Kemendag) will hold the Indonesian Game Day Competition on August 8, 2024.

Adyatama Kepariwisata dan Ekonomi Kreatif Ahli Utama Kemenparekraf Nia Niscaya mengatakan, hal ini dilakukan untuk mendorong pengembangan industri game dalam negeri.

"To help promote and open market access for national games and welcome Indonesian Game Day on August 8, 2024, the Ministry of Trade is working with the Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy to organize #AyoHARGAI, a lively Indonesian Game Day event," Nia said at The Weekly Brief with Sandi Uno in Jakarta, Monday, July 15.

"A competition for the eight best national games and registration starts on 8-16 July 2024 via the Kemend.ag/AyoHARGAI website," he continued.

Nia added that as many as eight of the best games will have the opportunity to appear at the tourism and Creative Economy Agency (Baparekraf) for the 2024 prime game on 17 and 18 August 2024.

"(Can get) facilitation and other attractive promotional incentives," said Nia.

According to him, every studio or developer team is allowed to apply for more than one game.

However, the chosen one is only one for the best category. "Let's register your best game soon," he added.

As for the timeline, the registration starts from 8-16 July 2024. Then, the pitch deck curation will be held on 17-19 July 2024.

After that, the announcement of the curation results was made on July 19, 2024.

The last is the submission of promotional material which will be carried out on 20-26 July 2024.
