PDIP Understandablys Many Political Parties Support Bobby Nasution In North Sumatra Gubernatorial Election: Pragmatic Party Wants To Win
PDIP politician Eriko Sotarduga understands that many political parties (political parties) support the Mayor of Medan as well as President Joko Widodo's son-in-law, Bobby Nasution as a candidate for governor (cagub) in the North Sumatra Pilgub. Because generally, said Eriko, parties are pragmatic because they want to win, except for the PDIP.
"First, of course it's about the election choices of each party. It's the autonomy of each party, the rights of each party. And we understand, because of why? Of course every party wants to win, no one may want to lose," Eriko told reporters, Monday, July 15.
Second, he continued, the results of the Pilkada will affect the votes acquired by political parties in the next five years. Third, influence on candidate leaders, whether president, vice president or minister.
"Why? Because based on events or from past conditions, that's right. That the possibility of the regional head becoming president, the vice president being the leader of the country is very large. Then also regional leaders can later become ministers in the coming period, and that is also a prospect to become a leader of the state in the next period as well. So this is a candradimuka crater from the preparations for future leaders," explained Eriko.
"So why do every party want to win? Well, if you want to be honest that parties must be pragmatic, the majority of parties are mostly. Except, except for the PDI-P for North Sumatra," he continued.
Eriko emphasized that PDIP could carry its own cagub and cawagub in the 2024 North Sumatra Pilkada. So far, he said, there have been two names of candidates, namely former North Sumatra Governor Edy Rahmayadi and North Tapanuli Regent, Nikson Nababan.
"So we will definitely nominate ourselves and there are already candidates, it has been conveyed by the Chairman of the DPD. What is the name, who is the governor now, Edy Rahmayadi and Nikson Nababan," he concluded.
