Victims Treated Due To Savings In Banjarmasin Increase To 53 People, Patient Conditions Concerned

BANJARMASIN - The number of patients who were injured in South Kalimantan (South Kalimantan), until Sunday, July 14, increased from 47 people to 53 people. Most of the patients who were hit were still unconscious and could not be invited to communicate normally.

A total of 47 kecubung victims were treated at the Sambang Mental Hospital Lihum Banjarmasin and the rest were treated at the Sultan Suriansyah General Hospital in Banjarmasin. There are still 2 victims who died.

Most of the conditions are still very concerning. They still can't be invited to communicate normally.

Public Relations of the Sambang Mental Hospital, Lihum Budi Hermanto, said that so far the condition of the patients affected was varied.

"Untuk kondisi per hari ini, berbagai. Mereka umumnya masih belum bisa diamunikasi normal. Ada juga masih linglung dan tak sadar diri, serta ada yang masih kerap mecacau tak jelas sehingga masih dibutuhkan perawatan medis lanjutan," ujar Budi, Minggu 14 Juli.

According to Budi, from the results of the medical examination, it will take about 3 days for his physical recovery. As for mental and psychological healing, it will take the shortest time in the next two weeks.

The hospital confirmed that not all of the causes of the symptoms experienced by the 47 patients came from consuming oplosan drugs and liquor.

The hospital has submitted an in-depth investigation into the cause of this incident to the South Kalimantan Police to conduct further investigations.
