GWM Ensures Independent Local Production Under Inchcase Separated From Mercedes-Benz

JAKARTA - Almost a year ago Great Wall Motor (GWM) debuted in the Indonesian automotive industry. This Chinese brand was brought to the Indonesian market under the umbrella of the Inchcape distributor, along with Mercedes-Benz.

Responding to this, GWM Indonesia General Manager Constantinus Herlijoso, said that many factories in Wanaherang had not been optimized and his party had prepared assembly sites for the CKD model.

Wanaherang itself has a large capacity and there are several areas that have not been utilized optimally. So that's where we prepare for the GWM assembly, so we are not on the same track with Mercedes-Benz," Herlijoso told the media in Sudirman, Jakarta, Wednesday, July 10.

Because it has a large area that has not been optimized, Herlijoso explained that this is an added value for the factory to facilitate the increase in assembly lines in Indonesia.

"This is an added value for the Wanaherang factory because it can add to the assembly line," added Herlijoso.

The man who is familiarly called Joso also explained that the factory has production capacity of up to 8,000 units per year with Haval Jolion HEV as the first Indonesian CKD production model from GWM.

"For the factory's own capacity, our factory has a capacity of 8,000 units per year," added Herlijoso.

GWM Haval Jolion HEV has a design not much different from Haval H6, which comes with a modern shape, especially having futuristic front grips and some firm curves that make it look attractive.

Regarding the heart of the runway, Haval Jolion HEV is equipped with 1,500 cc turbo gasoline engines powered by 156 dk accompanied by an electric motorcycle DHT115 BorgWarner permanent magnet synchronous which has 156 dk of power.

In addition, its performance is supported by the advanced transmission system Dedicated Hybrid Transmission (DHT) and lithium-ion batteries with a capacity of 1.6 kWh.
