Alert To Abuse Personal Data For Online Loans, East Jakarta Police Urge Residents Not To Just Submit Their ID Cards
The case of alleged fraudulent job applicant data misused for online loans by irresponsible persons has caught the attention of many parties. To anticipate similar incidents, the East Jakarta Metro Police Criminal Investigation Unit (Satreskrim) appealed to the public not to easily give identity cards (KTP) to other people whose designation is not clear.
"We urge the public not to be too easy to give identity cards to others, especially to unknown people. Like photocopy of ID cards, don't be too easy," said AKBP Armunanto when confirmed by VOI, Wednesday, July 10.
Kasat admitted that his party is still examining witnesses in cases of alleged document fraud used for online loans in the Kramat Jati area, East Jakarta.
"Once again, we urge the public to be more careful. Because the identity can be misused by irresponsible parties," he said.
