Jokowi Opens 16th National Working Meeting To Apkasi At JCC Senayan Jakarta
JAKARTA - President Joko Widodo (Jokowi) opened the 16th National Working Meeting (Rakernas) of the Association of Indonesian Regency Governments (Apkasi) at the Jakarta Convention Center (JCC) Senayan, Central Jakarta, Wednesday 19 July 2024. In addition to the National Working Meeting, Apkasi also organizes Autonomy Expo and Procurement Network.
In this opening ceremony, Jokowi was accompanied by the Chairman of the APPkasi Sutan Riska after the Kingdom, Minister of Home Affairs Tito Karnavian, Minister of Finance Sri Mulyani, Minister of Cooperatives and SMEs Teten Masduki, and Cabinet Secretary Pramono Anung.
In his remarks, Jokowi said that the past 5 years was a very difficult and challenging period. Starting from the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic, the development of world geopoliticals, to the waves of El Nino and La Nina.
"This has caused a lot of health crises, economic crises, food crises, financial and humanitarian crises," said Jokowi.
Jokowi said that the Indonesian people should be grateful for being able to survive these obstacles and challenges, especially since the Indonesian economy still grew by 5.1% in the first quarter of 2024.
"It's very difficult right now that countries survive with growth above 5%," he said.
