KAI Regulates Illegal Buildings In The Senen-Ancol Market Line

JAKARTA - PT KAI (Persero) Operation Area 1 Jakarta curbed 95 illegal buildings in the Pasar Senen-Ancol route. The goal is to ensure the safety of the train's safe and comfortable journey.

Head of Public Relations of PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta Eva Chairunisa said that the control was carried out because the conditions on both sides of the railroad tracks were used by local residents to build semi-permanent buildings, which could endanger the operation of train trips.

"In addition to curbing illegal buildings on the railway line, we are also permanently closing illegal access to the railway line that was made by irresponsible persons," said Eva, quoted by Antara, Thursday, March 18.

The control and closure of road access at the Senen-Ancol Market Crossing went smoothly and in an orderly manner without any resistance from residents, considering that previously PT KAI (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta made a persuasive notification.

In this control, Daop 1 Jakarta uses a series of extraordinary trains (KLB) by pulling 20 flat cars (GD).

The use of GD in curbing is aimed at accelerating the process of clearing the area under control, as well as transporting disturbing objects near the railroad tracks.

In this control, overall PT KAI (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta deployed 300 personnel.

In addition to disciplining, PT KAI (Persero) Daop 1 Jakarta also appealed to the public of the need for awareness in obeying existing regulations, for mutual safety.

There is also a law regulating the safety of train travel as stipulated in Law Number 23 of 2007 concerning Railways.

In addition to conducting sterilization, PT KAI Daop 1 Jakarta also invites local residents to work together to realize the safety of train travel.

Socialization will continue to be carried out to increase public awareness, especially those living around the railway line, so that they are more concerned about the regulations that have been set.
