Provincial Road Construction In Kaltara Shows Positive Trend
TANJUNG SELOR continues to focus on improving roads in Kaltara by the Public Works for Public Housing (DPUPR) in the last three years.
This is in line with the wishes of the Governor of North Kalimantan who continues to strive to improve connectivity on the Kaltara road.
The Governor of Kaltara, Zainal A Paliwang, revealed that road infrastructure development is still a priority for the government. This is because the community will feel the impact, such as increasing the economic growth of an area.
"This is still our commitment so that all roads in the Kaltara region can be connected smoothly," said Zainal, Monday, July 8.
Meanwhile, the Head of the North Kalimantan DPUPR-Perkim, Helmi, through the Head of Highways of the PUPR-Perkim Office of Kaltara Province, Erni said that in the last 3 years the coverage of road handling carried out by Kaltara Province has continued to increase.
Tahun 2021 panjang penanganan jalan yang dilakukan provinsi sepanjang 89,06 km. Tahun 2022 sepanjang 113,20 km dan tahun 2023 sepanjang 124.33 km. Penanganan tersebut meliputi kegiatan pembangunan/peningkatan jalan, rehabilitasi jalan, rekonstruksi jalan serta pembangunan jembatan, kata Erni.
Over the past 3 years, the budget allocation for handling provincial roads has also experienced a positive trend, although it is not significant enough. Where it adjusts the financial capacity of the APBD.
"Therefore, we are trying to increase other financing sources, such as through DAK, DBH and road grants. So for 3 years the construction of Provincial Roads at several points has experienced a positive trend," he explained.
Meanwhile, when asked about the priority of road construction carried out, he explained that his party was focused on activities that support the achievement of the Vision and Mission of regional heads, namely realizing infrastructure improvement to increase regional mobilization and productivity in the context of equitable development.
The target is how to increase accessibility and connectivity between activity centers. Therefore, our challenge going forward is to pursue road safety targets and provincial road functionals that have not been handled so far," he continued.
"In addition, we are also trying to get access to PSN and strategic areas, especially border areas, can be covered every year because this is one way to encourage people's economic growth. So we ask for support from all parties so that this activity can be realized properly," said Erni.
