Google Focuses On Upgrading YouTube Music Web Apps

JAKARTA Progressive Web App (PWA) or the YouTube Music web application has gained improvement over the past few months. Google has added several new features and improved its functionality. Over the years, PWA YouTube Music can only be used to listen to songs online. If users want to listen to the song offline, they should use YouTube Music's website or mobile app. However, reported by 9to5google, Google has added offline features to the YouTube Music web application in March. With this feature, users can download songs and play their songs even though there is no network connectivity. In addition to adding offline features, Google changed the design of albums and playlists on PWA YouTube Music. Since last June, Google changed its display layout to highlight album covers and information or playlists.

Google has also changed the color of the cover background that was previously solid in color to an adjusted gradient. In addition to the cover and album information or playlist, users will see a row of songs with different views. In addition, the YouTube Music application that was changed to the portrait window will display a miniplayer at the bottom, similar to the in-app display. This miniplayer will continue to appear even though users leave the Now Playing page. With these various changes, the appearance of the YouTube Music web application for desktop looks much better compared to the PWA version on mobile phones. Apparently, Google just wants to focus on app versions on Android and iOS.
