8 Unifa Compala Students Who Were Fined Rp. 500 Thousand Claimed Not To Know Mandatory To Manage Simplicial Permits Before Climbing

Eight people from the Natural Lovers Community (Kompala) of Fajar University (Unifa) Makassar were fined Rp500 thousand when they descended at the Bulu Baria Post, Gowa Regency after crossing the climb on Mount Lombatang, Bantaeng Regency, South Sulawesi."We were detained at the Bulu Baria registration post and told to pay Rp. 500 thousand. The reason is that we do not have a permit to enter the conservation area (Simaksi). How do we know there is such a permit, especially since there is no socialization," said member of Kompala Unifa Andre in Makassar, Antara, Sunday, July 7th.He recounted that initially he made an entry climbing from the foot of Mount Lombattang through Lembang Bu'ne Village, Cikoro Village, Tompobulu District, Gowa Regency. Furthermore, across the region and down through Bulu Baria, in Lembang Bu'ne Village, Bantaeng.A moment arrived at the Bulu Baria registration post on Monday, July 1, Kompala members were detained by postal officers and asked for a Simaksi. Because they do not have money and are still students, the manager then asked for Rp500 thousand for a fine."There was a debate, even though at that time our pick-up car had arrived, but again the residents there insisted and then confiscated the car keys. Finally he confiscated the member's e-KTP and said the deadline was only two weeks. can be redeemed, after the fine is paid," he said.Due to this incident, he only found out that it was to enter the climb into the Bulu Baria route and have to have a Simaksi. He regretted that the management of this Simaksi was not socialized and was considered not massive to the public, including climbers"As far as I know, the obligation to take care of this Simaksi has never been socialized. Even if it has been socialized, it may not be optimal, so not all climbers know about it, including us," he said.Confirmed separately, the manager of the Bulu Bara Mustaim registration post explained that every climber of Mount Bulu Bara or pass must have a Simaksi. He also argued that he had coordinated with the BKSDA and supported the regulation. The Bulu Bara mountain area, he said, is a conservation area, so there are rules. The witness for violators is to clean up the garbage on the mountain, if they are unable, they will be subject to a fine of Rp. 500 thousand.
"It has been conveyed to climbers that it is Rp. 500 thousand if you don't want to clean it, because we will kill two to three residents to clean the mountain. The rules are written, witnesses take clean action or fines. We are more focused on clean action, if it is heavy it is recommended a fine," he said.
