Victoria Starmer 'First Lady' UK, A Former Lawyer Who Turns To Health Worker

JAKARTA - The British people have chosen a new government, and so the new family will move to 10 Downing Street.

Unlike some other countries, such as the United States, when the new British prime minister came to power, the transition to the role and the new country took place immediately.

This means that Keir Starmer, the leader of the Labor Party, will not only stay at his home not far from the Parliament building, but also his wife, Victoria, and their two teenage children.

So, who is Victoria Starmer, and what do we know about the new 10 Downing Street residents?

The review of CNN, Saturday, July 6, Starmer's wife, whom he used to call Vic, was relatively unprotonous during the election campaign.

The two were lawyers and married in 2007 a year before Starmer became Director of Public Prosecution.

Their relationship grew from the first unexpected meeting at work, as the Labor Party leader told Piers Morgan in 2021.

At that time, Starmer was preparing a court case and asked to speak to the lawyer who had prepared the documents related to the case. It was Victoria.

He asked if it was accurate, and after the conversation was over, he heard him say, "Who does he think he is?" before hanging up the phone.

Starmer told Morgan he was chasing him for months after that, and they have been together ever since.

"Beautiful Vic, she's grounded, we share values and laugh together," said Starmer.

Victoria, whose parents are Jews, now works in the health sector of work in NHS.

Meanwhile, the prime minister expressed concern about his children about moving the house.

"Far down in the heart they worry that this (in their lives) can change, which is why we will protect their privacy very much," he said.

Starmer was so determined that she called them in an interview as'my men' and'my women.'

"From the start we made the decision that we will keep them protected, so we will not do a photo shoot with the kids and we don't mention their names in public," he said in the TV program This Morning.
