Kazakhstan Supports China's ILRS Development Program
JAKARTA Kazakhstan signed a memorandum of understanding to support the International Lunar Research Station (ILRS) project. This partnership will strengthen China's lunar exploration mission. Contract approvals were made when Chinese President Xi Jinping came to Kazakhstan on July 3. Leaders from each country must sign 30 documents and one of them is a memorandum of understanding for the development of the ILRS project. China's Ministry of Foreign Affairs said cooperation between China and Kazakhstan would benefit both parties, especially Kazakhstan. This country will receive a variety of data collected during the ILRS mission. "Both parties support the exchange and cooperation between the space agency and the company of the two countries in peaceful use of space, promoting mutually beneficial cooperation on the moon and outer space," China's Foreign Ministry said, quoted from Spacenews. ILRS is a permanent base construction project on the Moon in the 2030s. The project is led by China and Russia to advance exploration and resource utilization activities on the Moon.
