Kwon Eun Bi's Agency Speaks Up About The Artist's Privacy Violation Case

JAKARTA - Woollim Entertainment's agency issued new statements and warnings regarding its plans to protect Kwon Eun Bi.

"Hello. This is Woollim Entertainment. We share the latest information regarding the development of our legal action to protect our artist, Kwon Eun Bi, from violating his rights," Woollim Entertainment wrote as quoted by Soompi, Saturday, July 6.

Previously, Kwon Eun Bi experienced unpleasant acts such as defamation, fake news to sexual harassment that disturbed her psychology.

"We previously announced that Kwon Eun Bi suffered psychological damage due to severe defamation through sexual harassment, posts that attacked her character, spread of lies, and breach of privacy," Woollim Entertainment continued.

In response to this, Woollim's agency admitted that it did not remain silent where they had collected evidence from the action and would report it to the authorities.

"Therefore, we have gathered many posts about criminal acts from those who base baselessly defame the character Kwon Eun Bi, insult her, sexually harass her, spread lies about her, write malicious posts and slander her about herself, or combine her portraits with other photos and spread fake pornographic photos about her, and we file a first-round criminal complaint. Police are currently investigating this complaint," he said.

"This kind of action is clearly a crime, and we inform you that by using the evidence we collect, we will continue to file criminal charges and take firm legal action, without relief, against cases that are included in defamation based on the Law on the Promotion of Information and Communication Networks or are considered criminal insults based on law," the statement added.

Woollim Entertainment also invited Kwon Eun Bi fans to participate in gathering evidence of violations of legal action committed by irresponsible persons.

"In addition, we plan to do our best to protect our artists by continuing to actively collect evidence about malicious posts and monitor our own."

"Therefore, we hope that if fans find malicious posts or criminal acts that are clearly related to our artist, you will report them to our official email account," he said.
