JAKARTA - The Government of Kudus Regency, Central Java, has injected vaccines against 6,966 elderly people (elderly) or 10.11 percent of the target of 68,901 elderly to increase immunity so that they are not easily exposed to the corona virus disease.
"The number of elderly vaccinated is the first stage. Until today (Thursday, 18 March), each health center is still vaccinating the elderly with a target of 68,901 people," said Acting Regent Kudus Hartopo accompanied by the Acting Head of the Office. He revealed that the elderly who are the priority for vaccination are over 60 years old. Later, they will also get two injections, but the time lag is 28 days before receiving the second vaccine injection.
Regarding the availability of vaccines, the amount has also been calculated, that later it will run out within the time span according to the target.
"Regardless of the number of targets, it is also taken into account for the second dose. Public servants have not finished being served because there is a direction from the priority center for the elderly. However, it is still running," he said.
For the cumulative vaccination coverage in Kudus Regency at the first dose reached 42,346 targets from the target of 127,063 targets.
