Drug Smuggling Mode Sends Vehicle Parts, 90.56 Grams Of Marijuana Secured In Mataram
NTB - Mataram City Police (Polresta), West Nusa Tenggara (NTB) revealed a case of smuggling marijuana from outside the region by sending vehicle parts packages.
Head of the Narcotics Investigation Unit (Satresnarkoba) of the Mataram Police, AKP I Gusti Ngurah Bagus Suputra, said that his party had arrested two people from the disclosure of the marijuana smuggling case.
"Both have the initials MFS aged 28 years and a student with the initials MZY is 25 years old," said Bagus in Mataram, NTB, Thursday, July 4, quoted by Antara.
He explained that this disclosure took place on Wednesday, July 3 after the police followed up on information that a package had arrived from Depok, West Java (West Java).
The package containing marijuana with the name of the vehicle parts shipment is known to have arrived at one of the expeditions on Jalan Sriwijaya, Mataram City.
"The operational team then confirmed the recipient's package registration number at Jalan Swakarya, Mataram City, with the expedition party," he said.
After coordinating with the expedition, the police received information that someone had come to pick up the package.
"It was around 15.00 WITA, a man came to pick up the package according to the resi number we got earlier," said Bagus.

The police, who had carried out surveillance around the expedition, immediately arrested the man who was revealed to have the initials MFS.
"So, after taking the package, we took the car out, right on the road near the expedition, we secured the man with the initials MFS and conducted a search," he said.
From the search results, he continued, the police found packages sent by vehicle parts containing marijuana.
"So, among the spare parts, leaves and dried seeds were found suspected of being marijuana in aluminum foil packs," he said.
After the police secured evidence and MFS, further action was taken to the search of MFS's house on Swakarya Street, West Matarakik neighborhood, Mataram City.
"From the results of the search, it was found that the marijuana narcotics package and several empty clips were found," he said.
According to MFS's confession, the shipments did not belong to her but MZY, who lives on Jalan Panji Anom, the Kekalik Indah neighborhood, Mataram City.
"Resisting on this information, the team immediately shifted to MZY's house and found evidence of digital scales and cigarette paper," he said.
As a result, MFS and MZY along with evidence of marijuana packages and the results of the search were brought by the police to the Mataram Police.
"For MFS, he claimed to know that the package contained marijuana because he ordered the goods. For the owner and the owner of the money MZY, he only left the delivery address in MFS," said Bagus.
From the results of the interrogation, MZY admitted that he bought marijuana from outside the region for personal consumption and circulated it in the Sekarbela area, Mataram City.
"So, the evidence of leaves and cannabis seeds weighing 90.56 grams was purchased at a price of Rp. 500 thousand. Whether this is the first or we have studied it several times," he said.
Furthermore, Bagus said that his party in handling this case was still waiting for laboratory results to test evidence of marijuana and urine from the two perpetrators.
"That's why there has been no determination of the suspect, if the laboratory results are, then we will determine it," he said.
