JAKARTA - Australian police said they had found remnants believed to be 12-year-old children who were reported missing being attacked by a crocodile north of the country.The child was reported missing last Tuesday night after swimming in a small river near Palumpa, a remote town of about 350 people on a seven-hour road trip from Darwin, the capital of the Northern Region of Australia."This is bad news for families, communities and everyone involved in the search," Northern Territory Senior Police Sergeant Erica Gibson said in a statement.
There are more than 100,000 crocodiles in the Northern Territory, which have more than six times the area of the UK, although fatal attacks are relatively rare.The length can reach 6 meters (20 feet).His son and family had visited the tributary for a vacation, and it was reported that a black crocodile was seen in the surrounding area, police told Radio ABC.
